By downloading, installing, or using the ProteinLog app or any related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

ProteinLog is an AI-powered nutrition tracking application that allows users to log meals, analyze food photos, and monitor their daily nutritional intake. The nutrition estimates provided by the Service are generated by AI and are for informational purposes only. They are not a substitute for professional dietary or medical advice.

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By using ProteinLog, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information.
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
• Not share your account with or transfer it to any other person.

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that have been inactive for an extended period.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
• Upload content that is unlawful, harmful, offensive, or infringes on any third-party rights.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the Service.
• Use the Service for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.

The calorie counts, macronutrient breakdowns, and other nutritional data provided by ProteinLog are estimates generated by artificial intelligence and publicly available nutrition databases. These estimates may not be accurate.

ProteinLog is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making significant changes to your diet.

All content, features, and functionality of the Service — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software — are the exclusive property of ProteinLog and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of the content you submit (e.g., food photos and meal descriptions). By submitting content, you grant ProteinLog a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, process, and display that content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Certain features of the Service may require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you agree to pay all applicable fees. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. All charges are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, subject to their respective terms.

We do not offer refunds except as required by applicable law or as provided by the relevant app store policies.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause or notice, at our sole discretion. You may also delete your account at any time through the app settings.

Upon termination, the provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive will survive, including intellectual property provisions, disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, PROTEINLOG SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, OR HEALTH OUTCOMES — ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM OR (B) $10 USD.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the courts located in the United States.
